Trusty Templates

Need to create a specific type of spreadsheet?  Looking for a calendar template?  Want to create a budget and not sure where to start?  There are many different templates available on-line, and you can search for them directly from Excel.  If you’re in Excel 2003, you can go to http://office.microsoft.com instead and select Templates from the menu bar across the top.  If you’re in 2007, clicking on New from the Office Button will take you to the New screen…first you will see the option to create a Blank Workbook.  However, you can also select one of the options down the left side of the screen (such as Budgets below).

You will notice that some of the templates available for download are provided by Microsoft Corporation, as indicated in the top right of the screen.  However, there are other templates that have been created and uploaded by everyday users, who wanted to share the benefits of their template with the world.  Either way, there are lots of great templates in this library and you may find one that is useful for your purpose.
